  SIA Participates in the 2026 Shenyang Robot Conference

  The 2026 Shenyang Robot Conference kicked off in Shenyang on June 1. The event was hosted by the Shenyang Municipal People’s Government under the theme “New Quality Leads Development, Intelligent Manufacturing Connects the Future,”. Multiple achievements from the Shenyang Institute of Automaiton (SIA), the Chinese Academy of Sciences showcased at the event.

  Kick-off Conference of the National Key R&D Program of China on Quantum Science and Technology Held in Shenyang

  On June 6, the kick-off conference for the project "Development of an Ultra-Low Temperature Scanning Tunneling Microscope with Vector Magnetic Field" was held in Shenyang. The project is part of the National Key R&D Program of China under the special initiative "National Quantum Science and Technology Key Materials, Devices, and Equipment R&D," and is led by Shenyang Institute of Automaiton (SIA), the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

  Kick-off Conference of the Major Program of NSFC "Generation Mechanism of Life-Like Intelligence Driven by Robotic Behavior" Held in Shenyang

  On June 4, the conference for the Major Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) titled "Generation Mechanism of Life-Like Intelligence Driven by Robotic Behavior" was held in Shenyang. The program is led by the SIA.

  Strategic Cooperation Agreement Signed Between the State Key Laboratory of Robotics and Intelligent Systems and the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science

  Recently, a strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony and academic symposium were held in SIA between the State Key Laboratory of Robotics and Intelligent Systems and the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science. LIU Lianqing, Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Robotics and Intelligent Systems, who also serves as Deputy Director of SIA, and SHI Dalin, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science and Vice President of Xiamen University, attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

  State Key Laboratory of Robotics and Intelligent Systems Holds the Second Meeting of its First Academic Committee

  On March 15, the Second meeting of the first academic committee of the State Key Laboratory of Robotics and Intelligent Systems was held at the Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.The meeting was chaired by CHEN Jie, director of the academic committee, Party secretary of the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT)，and an Academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE).

  SIA Holds Academic Seminar on "Gathering Intelligence in Atomic-Level Manufacturing to Shape New Quality Productive Forces"

  On February 11th, the Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS) , hosted an academic seminar themed "Gathering Intelligence in Atomic-Level Manufacturing to Shape New Quality Productive Forces." The event brought together over 50 researchers from universities and research institutes.

  Paper from SIA Wins Best Paper Award at SRSE 2025 International Conference

  Recently, the 7th International Conference on System Reliability and Safety Engineering (SRSE 2025) was held in Changchun, Jilin. A paper authored by the research team from the Industrial Control Networks and Systems Department of the Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), titled A Large Model for Integrated Diagnosis, Prognosis, and Decision-Making in Intelligent Operation and Maintenance, was honored with both the Best Paper Awardand the Best Oral Presentation Awardat the conference.

  SIA-SmartField Wins Award at Sinopec's First AI Innovation Competition

  Recently, the final round of Sinopec's First Artificial Intelligence Innovation Competition concluded. The SIA-SmartField team, composed of staff and graduate students from the Industrial Control Network and Systems Laboratory of the Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), secured the second prize in the competition track titled "Design of Injection-Production Parameter Adjustment Schemes for Medium-High Permeability Waterflood Reservoirs" after progressing through both preliminary and final rounds.
