IIoT WIA-PA Technology and System of Intelligent Oilfield, developed by a research team led by Prof. YU Haibin from Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS) won the award. Prof. YU presented the techonlogy during WIC.

09/07 -2023-SIA team won ARIAC International Competition Championship for three consecutive yearsOn August 25th, the 2023 Agile Robotics for Industrial Automation Competition (ARIAC) , organized by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) of the United States, unveiled its competition outcomes. The Reaper team from the Industrial Control Network and System Department at the Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), won the championship for the third consecutive year.

08/15 -2023-Research of bio-syncretic robots won the first prize of 2022 Liaoning Provincial Natural Science AwardThe reserach of bio-syncretic robots is an emerging direction and hot spot in robot research and is a potential subversive method for the further development of robots. It is based on the deep integration of biological systems and electromechanical systems, directly utilizing living materials to realize robotic functions, such as sensing, intelligence and actuation. Due to the introduction of highly unstructured and unknown biological materials, research on bio-syncretic robots urgently needs new relevant technologies for manipulation, fabrication and detection.

08/10 -2023-World Robot Conference 2023 to be held in BeijingConsisting of three sections, including forum, exhibition, and competition, the WRC 2023 will focus on the frontier trends of robot technology and industry, show the application scenarios of robot innovation in various sectors, and hold high-level brain-computer interface and man-machine cooperation competitions, said Xu Guanghong, an official of the CAST.

06/30 -2023-"Research on Key Technologies in Secure and Reliable Wireless Sensor Networks for Smart Factory" passed acceptanceRecently, the International Cooperation Key project of Chinese Academy of Sciences "Research on Key Technologies in Secure and Reliable Wireless Sensor Networks for Smart Factory", jointly undertaken by professor YU Haibin from Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Professor Slawomir Stanczak from Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications, successfully passed the final acceptance organized by Bureau of International Cooperation CAS. The project acceptance result was ‘excellent’.

03/17 -2022-CAS-developed robots perform first underwater torch relay in Olympic historyThe torchbearer passed the flame to the first robot, which is designed like a curling stone and is capable of functioning both on land and in water, and the amphibious device glided along the curling track before entering the water at the designated spot; it then dived to a specified depth and waited for the second robot to approach and fetch the torch.
