03/29 -2016-Single-pixel camera with one graphene photodetectorConsumer cameras in the megapixel range are ubiquitous, but the improvement of them is hindered by the poor performance and high cost of traditional photodetectors. Graphene, a two-dimensional micro-/nano-material, recently has exhibited exceptional properties as a sensing element in a photodetector over traditional materials. However, it is difficult to fabricate a large-scale array of graphene photodetectors to replace the traditional photodetector array.

03/16 -2016-New spectrum ratio properties and features for shadow detectionSuccessfully detecting shadows in still images is challenging yet has wide applications. Shadow properties and features are very important for shadow detection and processing. The aim of this work is to find some new physical properties of shadows and use them as shadow features to design an effective shadow detection method for outdoor color images.

03/16 -2016-Experiments on resonant vibration suppression of a piezoelectric flexible clamped-clamped plate using filtered-U least mean square algorithmOne of the key works in applied metamorphic mechanism design is to obtain the source metamorphic mechanism and the constraint forms and structures of metamorphic joints to carry out given working tasks. The metamorphic cyclogram and the types and combinations of the constraint metamorphic joints for the tasks are presented according to the task-based kinematic rules.

03/16 -2016-Experiments on resonant vibration suppression of a piezoelectric flexible clamped-clamped plate using filtered-U least mean square algorithmRecently, researchers from Shenyang Institute of Automation investigate the adaptive filtered-U least mean square feed-forward algorithm for active resonant vibration control of a clamped-clamped flexible piezoelectric plate structure under persistent harmonic excitation. Different from the widely used filtered-X least mean square algorithm based on the finite impulse response filter, the filtered-U least mean square algorithm uses the infinite impulse response filter.

12/01 -2015-Distributed Online Optimal Energy Management for Smart GridsTraditionally, economic dispatch and demand response (DR) are considered separately, or implemented sequentially, which may degrade the energy efficiency of the power grids. One important goal of optimal energy management (OEM) is to maximize the social welfare through the coordination of the suppliers' generations and customers' demands. Thus, it is desirable to consider the interactive operation of economic dispatch and DR, and solve them in an integrated way.
