01/05 -2024-SIA researchers make progress in active collision avoidance control for the continuum robotRecently, the research team of Professor LIU Hao from the Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and Professor Zhang Zhongtao from Friendship Hospital made progress in the research of active collision avoidance for continuum robots. Their work, titled “Active collision avoidance for teleoperated multi-segment continuum robots toward minimally invasive surgery”, has been published online in the journal, The International Journal of Robotics Research (IJRR).
