With the theme of "Better Robots, Better Life", an expectation that the ever growing technology in robotics and automation will help build a better human society, the 2011 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA 2011) will take place from May 9 to 13, 2011 at the Shanghai International Convention Center and the Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai, China.

As a well-known national research institution for strategic high-tech innovation in the fields of robotics and automation, Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA) is elected as one of the technical co-sponsors of ICRA 2011. In the Conference Organization, Professor Tianran Wang, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and former director of SIA, is a member of the Advisory Committee, and Dr. YuechaoWang, director of SIA, is a member of the Local Organizing Committee.
