The 863 Project “Industrial Wireless WIA and control devices, system development and demonstration application” borne by Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences has passed the technical inspection organized by Ministry of Science and High Technology Research and Development Center on June 18. And the project belongs to Topic Items “WIA-based wireless control technology, device and system development” in the field of advanced manufacturing.

As the project leader, Researcher Zeng Peng reported the implementation and results of the project. The expert group listened to the report and reviewed the related material. They also visited the WIA measuring and control device in Fushun Petrochemical Company. After Serious discussions, the expert group agreed that the project team completed the requirements of project Mission statement and achieved the project objectives. Thus they Agreed to adopt the technology acceptance.

The project Carry out product development and applied research on WIA-PA/FA techniques. They developed universal Wireless monitoring and control devices. And the devices used in special field such as SCADA/DCS, Electricity metering oil Metallurgy are also developed. As a demonstration, all these devices have been applied in Petroleum, petrochemical, power, metallurgy and other industries.

The project realized the high reliability and low power technology of intelligent wireless instrument, improved the working life of the network nodes and data transmission capability, realized high level protection and explosion-proof technology. Also, the project defined the interface specification between different components and kinds of instruments.
