Recently, the Dynamic Double Positive Airway Pressure (DPAP) non-invasive ventilator received the first prize of Shenyang City’s 2011 Scientific and Technological Award.

The ventilator is jointly developed by Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), China Medical University and Shenyang SysMed (China) Co., Ltd., a company of SIA. Through nasal mask and face mask mechanical ventilation and digital control, various ventilation therapeutic modes are realized for the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome (OSAS), the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), as well as the family nursing of respiratory disorder patients. With the characteristics of high-performance, high-precision, high-reliability and low cost, the DPAP noninvasive ventilator is well received by patients and can enhance quality of rehabilitation to a large degree. Since the series product entered the market in April 2010, sales volume has reached 3,352 by the end of 2011.　 (Dai Tianjiao)
