The International Joint Research Center for Industrial IoT Technologies, applied by Shenyang Institute of Automation, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIACAS) has been approved by Ministry of Science and Technology of China recently, making itself the second National Base for International Science & Technology Cooperation under the institute, after the International Joint Research Center of Advanced Robotics and Mechanism.

The international joint research center is co-established by SIACAS, Fraunhofer HHI Institute, Technical University of Berlin, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and other renowned universities and research institutes around the world.

By integrating advanced technologies in industrial IoT, the center will focus on research around real-time and reliable interconnection, highly efficient interoperability, the Semantic web-based computing and system integration decision-making. The center will also develop industrial IoT devices and systems. The objective is to form the series of industrial IoT technologies with independent intellectual property rights.(Department of Industrial Control Network and System, Department of Human Resources and Education)
