Jong-Oh Park, professor from School of Mechanical Systems Engineering, Chonnam National University in South Korea visited Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) on January 5th, 2016.
During his visit, Professor Park made a report titled Current Biomedical Micro/Nano Robotics Research at RRI. In his report, Park shared the research progress of Chonnam National University in the fields of colonoscopy robot, capsule endoscope robot, vascular robot and bacterium based nano robot, since 2000. He also demonstrated current application of robot in medical diagnosis and treatment.
Before the report, Park visited State Key Laboratory of Robotics, CAS Key Laboratory of Networked Control System, Space Automation Technology Department of SIA and SIASUN Robot& Automation Co. Ltd.
Currently, Part serves as Member of the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) executive board, member of the New Industry Development Strategic Committee under Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
