Juergen Weiner, senior vice president of SAP from Germany discussed strategic cooperation framework with Yu Haibin, director of Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), during his visit to the institute of October 28th, 2014.
Yu briefly talked about the institute’s major research directions, and specifically introduced the industrial wireless network technology independently developed by the instiute and its development strategy on ubiquitous informatization manufacturing. Weiner introduced the R&D team of SAP in China, as well as the development strategy for industry 4.0 of the company. The two sides reached consensus on joining hands to develop and promote smart factory and industrial Ethernet whole solution for industry 4.0, based on mutual technological advantages. They further discussed strategic cooperation framework between SIA and SAP. Meanwhile, Weiner invited Yu to attend the Industrial 4.0 Summit Forum that would be held by SAP in November 3rd, 2014, and to deliver a keynote speech on the conference.
