Associate Professor Chen Lin from University of Paris-Sud 11 Visited SIA

Chen Lin, associate professor from University of Paris-Sud 11 in France visited Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) on March 6th 2014, giving a report titled On the Cascading Spectrum Contention Problem in Self-coexistence of Cognitive Radio Networks.

In his report, Chen introduced the background of percolation theory, with an emphasis on solving the cascading spectrum contention problem in wireless cognitive networks by usng the percolation theory. He also made presentation on the basic information of the faculty of computer of Paris-Sud University, as well as related research and funding of France and the European Union.

Born in Nanjing, China, Lin Chen received his B. Sc. degree in Radio Engineering in 2002 from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, his M. Sc. in Networking in 2005 from University of Paris 6, and his engineer and Ph. D. degree in Computer Science and Networking in 2005 and 2008 from Telecom ParisTech (ENST), Paris. He is now an associate professor (maître de conférences) in the Department of Computer Science at University of Paris-Sud 11, which he joined in September 2009. He worked as a Postdoc Researcher at Telecom ParisTech during 2008-2009 and a Visiting Researcher at NICTA (National ICT Australia) in 2008.  He received the Best Paper award at IEEE ICCCN 2007 and the Chinese government scholarship for outstanding self-financed students studying abroad in 2008.
