Professor Huang Guangbin from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore visited Shenyang Institute of Automation (sia), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) on December 23rd, 2013. During his visit, Prof. Huang made a report named Extreme Learning Machine: Towards Brian Alike Learning, introducing the essence and application of Extreme Learning Machine (ELM).
Prof. Huang graduated with a Ph.D degree in Engineering from Nanyang Technological University in 1999. As a senior member of IEEE, Huang also serves as the editor of IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, Neurocomputing, Cognitive Computation, etc. His research interests include big data processing analysis and learning, brain-computer interaction, human-computer interaction, image processing and machine learning theory and technology.
