On December 4, 2003, Prof. Vitliemov and Prof. Bratanov of Rousse University, Bulgaria paid a visit to Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA). In recent years, scientists of the Department of Manufacture Engineering of Rousse University obtained achievements in emulating robots, especially in the research of robot engineering for medical purposes. Financed by the European Economic Community, they have manufactured robots that are used in surgical operation for the treatment of stomach diseases and have been applied to clinical practice in Bulgaria.
