Recently, the 7th International Conference on System Reliability and Safety Engineering (SRSE 2025) was held in Changchun, Jilin. A paper authored by the research team from the Industrial Control Networks and Systems Department of the Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), titled A Large Model for Integrated Diagnosis, Prognosis, and Decision-Making in Intelligent Operation and Maintenance, was honored with both the Best Paper Awardand the Best Oral Presentation Awardat the conference.

To address challenges in intelligent operation and maintenance for complex industrial equipment, such as difficulties in multi-task coordination and heavy reliance on expert experience, the research team proposed a large model framework for integrated diagnosis, prognosis, and decision-making.

By introducing the powerful semantic understanding and reasoning capabilities of large models into the field of industrial operation and maintenance, the study achieves end-to-end intelligent management—from fault diagnosis and remaining useful life prediction to maintenance decision generation.

Experimental results demonstrate that the model exhibits excellent accuracy and generalization capability when handling operation and maintenance tasks under complex working conditions, offering a new technological pathway for intelligent operation and maintenance of industrial equipment.

SRSE 2025 was jointly organized by the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics of CAS, the National University of Singapore (NUS), and IEEE. The conference serves as an academic platform for experts and scholars in the field of system reliability and safety engineering to share the latest research findings.
