Professor Alexander Verl from University of Stuttgart visited Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) on August 14th , 2023.
In his welcome speech, LIU Lianqing, deputy director of SIA, extended gratitude to professor Verl for his contributions in international cooperation with SIA. LIU presented the PIFI certificate to professor Verl on behalf of SIA.
LIU tianxiang from the Research Administration Department of SIA introducted progress achieved by the institue in international cooperation. Professro Verl intoduced research progess made by the University of Stuttgart in robotics and industrial automation. The two sides made in-depth discussion about enhancing coopration on cutting-edge and innovation research.
Professor Verl mainly focues on research of manufacturing automation, robotis,machine tool, and control engineering, and has been leading research projects under the support of German Research Foundation (DFG) and Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Germany (BMBF). Corruntly, he serves as the Chairman of International Federation of Robotis (IFR).
