During the 2017 Edge Computing Industry Summit, the Edge Computing Consortium (ECC) officially launched Edge Computing Reference Architecture 2.0, to point the direction for edge computing technology research, application and industrial development.
The summit was held in Beijing on November 29th, 2017. Yu Haibin, chairman of ECC, attended the summit and delivered a speech.
ECC and Alliance of Industrial Internet (AII) signed strategic cooperation agreement during the ceremony, announcing that the two sides will join hands to draft research reports, develop test beds, establish standards and market promotion.
ECC members have developed 21 test bed solutions since the establishment of the consortium one year ago. Adaptive flexible manufacturing platform, co-developed by SIACAS, Intel and Huawei, and Robotic grasp and manipulation platform based on visual-tactile fusion, co-developed by SIACAS and Intel were showcased during the summit.
Jointly initiated by Shenyang Institute of Automation, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIACAS), Huawei, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Intel, ARM and iSoftStone, ECC has 154 members currently, including leading enterprises from intelligent manufacturing, smart city, energy & power and ICT, as well as research institutes and universities.
