On July 19th, 2017, the Shenyang Institute of Automation of Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIA CAS) and the China Medial School signed an agreement to build a joint medial robot research and development center in Shenyang, Liaoning Province.

According to the agreement, the CAS institute in robotics and automation and the national medical education center will join hands in medical robot technology research and application by tapping into strength of both sides. Medical robot, which needs inter-disciplinary research knowledge, will help doctors and patients in the process of diagnosis, treatment, medical care, and rehabilitation assistance, etc.
