The Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Korea Institute of Robot and Convergence (KIRO) decided to establish academic cooperation, according to a memorandum of understanding signed by the two sides on March 7th, 2016.

Sang Zigang, deputy director of SIA, and Chul Hue Park, president of KIRO signed the memorandum of understanding on behalf of the two institutes.

Under the memorandum of understanding, the two sides will conduct cooperation by means of joint research activities and publications, exchanges of research staff, exchanges of academic materials and other information, and post-doctoral programs.

Yu Haibin, director of SIA also attended the signing ceremony.
