Hosted by the Science and Technology Department of ELSEVIER, the strategic cooperation conference between the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and ELSEVIER commenced at Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA) on November 12th, 2013.

Sun Tan, deputy director of the National Science Laboratory looked back into the cooperation experience between CAS and ELSEVIER in the past few years, and wished that the two sides further the cooperation in the future. Yu Haibin, director of SIA made a brief introduction of the institute. Qu Yanli, director of the Center for Documentation and Information of SIA introduced the progress made by the institute in hosting Robotics, and Information and Control journals. Yao Zhiyuan, director of the Science and Technology Department of ELSEVIER introduced the development of ELSEVIER in China, as well as the long-term cooperation outlook between CAS and ELSEVIER in products and solutions. The two sides made discussions on issues such as journals publishing, academic article inclusion, resources building, etc.

 

                                                

 

 

During the visit, experts from ELSEVIER also made presentations to SIA researchers and graduate students, sharing experiences in academic articles publishing and journal inclusion.
