Feng Xisheng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) participated in the CAE academician forum on “Intelligent Information Technology and Engineering” and delivered a report on the current research progress in marine robot.

The forum was held in Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) on November 18th, gathering six academicians including Xu Yangsheng, Feng Xisheng, etc. Associate professor Liu Kaizhou from the Underwater Robotics Department of Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA) also gave a report on the forum, sharing his firsthand experience as an oceanaut during the sea test of the submersible Jiaolong in the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean this year.

During the mid-term seminar of the CAE academician consulting project of “Research on Nuclear Power Plant Robot Technology”, professor Li Yiping from the Underwater Robotics Department of SIA introduced the survey results on key technologies used in the preliminary stage of the project.
