Hosted by China Instrument and Control Society, the 22nd International Conference and Fair for Measurement, Instrument and Automation (MICONEX 2011) was held in Beijing during August 30 and September 2. Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) exhibited its WIA wireless instrument which can meet the international standards on Wireless Networks for Industrial Automation-Process Automation (WIA-PA). The WIA-PA standard, whose development was presided by SIA, has been issued as a national standard, and has entered the CDV stage of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

Instrument manufacturers, system integration suppliers, R&D institutes and original equipment manufacturers and service providers from China and abroad paid great attention to the WIA wireless technology and WIA wireless instrument and system application developed by SIA, and showed the willingness to adopt the WIA technology in the R&D, manufacture and industrial field application of WIA wireless instruments.
