Under the auspices of CAS, the 2003 Symposium on Robitics and Manufacturing Sciences (CASRMS’03) was held September 24-26, 2003, in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China's Liaoning Province. The local organizer is the CAS Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA).
In recent years, the research and development on robotics and manufacturing science have seen gaining momentum. Since the 1980s, SIA, the only CAS research base of robotics and advanced manufacturing technology, has been tracing the development at its frontiers in the world and achieved encouraging progress. The CASRMS’03 will provide an opportunity and theater for researchers and experts in the world to exchange their latest accomplishments, innovations and visions in robotics and manufacturing sciences.
The main topics of the symposium include, but aren’t be limited to, intelligent machines and systems, advanced robots, industrial robots and its application, manufacturing automation, rapid manufacturing systems, advanced manufacturing modes and important data.
